There is a big alarm in the coalition, we need to get together urgently and …

Due to disrupted communication within the coalition, reforms are not happening. There are decisions that have been made under pressure, and once there is such an alarm, we need to form a coalition and make a decision.

This was stated by the MP from “There is such a people” and chairman of the Committee on Budget and Finance in the National Assembly Lubomir Karimanski to BNT.

According to him, if the coalition brings anything together, it is the adoption of the euro and minimizing corruption. Karimanski only makes notes, not criticizes the government.

He explained that ITNs are firmly in favor of the introduction of the euro. However, it is necessary to meet certain criteria, to have a large-scale information campaign, to clearly and precisely define the benefits, costs, challenges and risks, Karimanski explained.

“We are operationally and technically ready for the introduction of the euro,” Karimanski stressed, adding that we are ready from the back to the front for the adoption of the euro. He does not know where we have stopped and the problems with the pandemic seem to have shifted our focus from the euro.

In such a plan there are very clearly stated benefits for the adoption of the euro, costs, risks, so that society is calm. We do not want anything else, said the ITN MP. According to him, the Law on Referendum in Bulgaria should be changed first and then such activities should be considered.

“If we make such a campaign for the euro as a green certificate and why we should be vaccinated, it will not work,” Karimanski said. He wonders where the reforms, which should have been an analysis, go, who does not see work on the new Law on the Code of Criminal Procedure. According to him, when detailed programs have to be signed, the coalition already has a problem here.

The coalition did not gather to discuss the requested resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Kalina Konstantinova. The adequacy of the level of Deputy Prime Minister must be such that it can correspond to the real geopolitical and domestic political direction in which we want to develop the country, but this is not possible, Karimanski commented.

Regarding the postponed embargo on Russian oil, Karimanski described as positive news the postponement of the embargo on Russian oil by the government, which managed to cope with one of the crises.
