According to Ģiedrjus Mišutis, a representative of the SBGS, the news agency BNS informed Belarus borders. They continued for several hours, subsided and then resumed.

According to him, several hundred migrants took part in the protests in this camp, who at one time broke the gate and tried to overthrow the fence. Riots have erupted in three of the camp’s five sectors. The last sector in which the riots arose was where families live.

Additional forces of the Border Guard, Police and Public Security Service arrived at the camp and entered the migrants. Attempts are currently being made to distinguish the main organizers of the riots from the others.

Easier manifestations of protests were recorded in the Alien Registration Centers in Ķībartas and Pabrade.

“Everything ended quite quickly in Ķībartis – less than twenty people came out with three posters and went back, there was a little more in Pabradė, they got quiet, but soon calmed down,” Mišutis said.

Protests have also taken place in the Rukla refugee center in Jonava district, but no incidents have been recorded there.

Unrest Lithuania migrant camps took place on the same day in Belarus at Poland Accompanied by armed Belarusian law enforcement officers, thousands of migrants have arrived, trying to break the barbed wire fence along the border by force, but in the evening they began to set up tents and light fires on the edge of the forest.

As Rustams Lubayev, the head of the Lithuanian Border Guard Service, said earlier, the SBGS has information that riots could be organized in the accommodation facilities for illegal migrants in Lithuania.

He assumed that the activities of migrants in Lithuania and at the Belarusian-Polish border could be coordinated.
