Luís Castro is no longer responsible for the results achieved by the Al-Nassr team, represented by Cristiano Ronaldo. The Saudi club’s management confirmed that they had parted ways with the coach.
Al-Nassr announced their parting ways with Luís Castro in a brief statement. The club’s officials decided to terminate the contract with the 63-year-old, who was thanked and given the best wishes for future success.
The Portuguese, who previously led Botafogo, arrived in Saudi Arabia in July 2023. Since then, the team has recorded 36 wins, nine draws and nine defeats under his leadership. Last season, they finished second in their top league table behind Al-Hilal.
Currently, they are in seventh place. In three league matches, they have one win and two draws.
