High days for chocolate lovers because it is Easter egg time again. And although we don’t want to think about it too much, we still wonder: how many calories are in an egg like that?

We’ll start right away with good news: everything isn’t that bad. Unless you eat entire bags.
Hema previously conducted research into this and reported that at least four out of five Dutch people who participated in their research love chocolate eggs. During Easter, our northern neighbors eat an average of about 47 Easter eggs per person. Then it is absolutely good to know how many calories are in an Easter egg. Because with such numbers the total can sometimes run into the single digits. It will not surprise you that this differs per taste.
The Easter figure
In addition to Easter eggs, Easter figures are also particularly popular. Every chocolate shop has a chocolate work of art in the display case. Make no mistake, the number of calories increases faster: a medium-sized Easter figure made of milk chocolate is good for approximately 800 calories, the large version easily contains 1100 calories.
To give you an impression: that can be compared to a large Big Mac menu with mayonnaise. Don’t want to consume that many calories, but still want to snack? Then Easter meringues offer solace. One meringue contains approximately 18 calories. Two meringues equal one (liqueur) Easter egg.
