One of the questions regarding the controls of the Highway Patrol was that, supposedly, it rejected the driver’s licenses in digital format that are already applied in Brazil. In this regard, inspector Víctor González said that they always complied with this provision, that they have the mechanisms, through the QR code, to detect whether or not they are authentic and that in the trinational region, Brazil is the country that uses the document in this way. .
“More than a year ago we met with the Rodoviaria and its similar from Argentina, an agreement was reached, but the problem is not the registration in digital format, the problem of the foreigner who is stopped at the controls gets upset when they are He wants to submit to the alcohol test and when he drinks, he does it in large quantities, ”explained the head of the Highway Patrol.
However, he asked that if there are cases in which the staff carry out an irregular procedure so that they present the complaints and that they be processed. The official noted that so far this year, at least 8 agents have been terminated from their duties due to irregular procedures and there have already been cases of their being dismissed from the institution.
Of the 100% of the breathalyzer controls that we carry out, 40% are Brazilians who fall into violation and are the ones who complain the most when we do this procedure. But we are going to continue doing that, we have the support and we are going to intensify whenever necessary”, insisted González.
CONTROLS ON THE ROUTES
From the Highway Patrol, Alto Paraná regional office, they indicated that the controls will continue on the routes in the area, the breathalyzer tests at night and compliance with the rules established by the national transit agency. As for the driver’s licenses in digital format, which foreigners have, they assured that they will not have any problems.
Inspector Víctor González of the Highway Patrol explained that all those who travel through the country’s routes are obliged to comply with traffic laws and therefore recommended that motorists have proper documentation, use seat belts and regulatory lights of their vehicles.
Regarding the alcohol test controls, González warned that they will continue, that they have directives for it and that during these holy days this will intensify. “The offender is the one who claims the most, but we will continue to control, mainly at night. Last weekend, in a single control, 46 people tested positive and that is a danger to themselves and to the other people who pass through, ”he added.
