there are no plans to transfer schools to remote locations yet

The Ministry of Education of Russia does not intend to transfer schools to remote study due to coronavirus… The press service of the department emphasized that plans to introduce remote control on an ongoing basis are not considered either now or earlier and are not planned for consideration.

Messages appeared on the Internet “calling for some kind of” vote “against normative legal acts and projects that do not exist in reality.” All this, as well as information about distance education on an ongoing basis, which is disseminated in social networks and messengers, is “just another provocative attempt to lead to social tension,” reports TASS.

The Ministry of Education called on the parents of schoolchildren to trust only official information. “Our experts and hotline specialists are always in touch, and our information resources are always filled with up-to-date and verified information,” said Minister Sergei Kravtsov.

Last week, Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Viktor Basyuk said that schools in three regions, including in Moscow, will be switched to remote mode. However, later this information has been denied.
