There are no free tokens, this is how to get electricity discounts for the April-June period

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – There are no more free tokens in the electricity stimulus distribution scheme for the period April to June 2021.

Even so, customers of PT PLN (Persero) in the 450 volt ampere (VA) and 900 VA classes are certain to still be able to get electricity subsidies until June 2021.

The amount of subsidy this time is different from the previous period. In March 2021, PLN distributed a 100 percent discount on electricity, aka free electricity, to postpaid customers of 450 VA power households, 450 VA small businesses, and 450 VA small industries.

In that period, the provisions also apply to prepaid customers who are given a percent discount token every month with the same amount as before.

However, from April to June, the government has made adjustments to the amount of electricity stimulus provided to customers who receive the aid. Nothing else is free for electricity.

The reason is, the amount of each stimulus is cut in half. Thus, the 450 VA class received only a 50 percent discount on electricity rates.

This change also applies to the postpaid subsidized 900 VA household customer class who previously received a 50 percent discount on the bill.

In March, prepaid customers also get a 50 percent discount immediately received when buying tokens (prices do not include PPJ).

Now, the amount of the discount has also been cut in line with new policies related to stimulus. The 900 VA subsidized class receives a 25 percent discount on electricity rates.

With this adjustment, the subsidized 450 VA and 900 VA class customers no longer receive free tokens for free.

“For 450 power prepaid customers, there is no need to access tokens, either on the web, WhatsApp service, or PLN Mobile. The stimulus will be obtained immediately when buying electricity tokens, ”said Bob in a written statement, Monday (22/3/2021).

PLN also emphasized that for household customers, business and industrial power 450 VA postpaid, because there is a change in the amount of the stimulus, the discount is immediately obtained when making electricity bill payments.

“We remind, especially to postpaid 450 VA customers, that starting from April 2021, they must make payments again. However, of course, with a discount of 50 percent of the stimulus, “said Bob.

Previously it was reported that electricity customers of the 450 VA class will certainly not get free electricity incentives starting April 2021.

This is because the government has decided, starting April 2021, the electricity tariff discount given to prepaid or postpaid customers of the 450 VA class will no longer be 100 percent, but 50 percent.
