“There are hundreds of entrepreneurs who have been duped.” – The Daily Standard

Last night, the Bazaar in Beverwijk received an annoying announcement from the municipality: the doors must be closed! The largest three halls may no longer be opened, because the 1.5 meters cannot be maintained in these halls. The Bazaar refuses to respond to this call, as it would harm hundreds of entrepreneurs.

The three largest halls have to be closed, but it has already been said that they are simply not going to do that. Mariska Roos van de Bazaar says that currently only about 60% of the turnover is realized. Closing the halls would be a huge disaster for many entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs who are often unable to keep their heads above water.

“There is always someone who is too close to someone else when there are 20,000 people walking around. This is a disproportionate measure. ”

The municipality understands that it is annoying to have to close the doors, but according to the municipality there is no other way. The halls will have to be closed.

In many places in the Netherlands you see a similar trend: entrepreneurs no longer accept the regulations of the local authority, when they do, they often demand financial compensation for losses incurred.

For both local authorities and entrepreneurs these are getting so unpleasant times, they are going to be diametrically opposed.
