TREVISO – They have distinguished themselves in various sectors of activity, thus contributing to the economic and social growth of the Treviso area. And for this reason the Treviso and Belluno Chamber of Commerce awarded them the Loyalty to Work and Economic Progress Award. The award ceremony (the recognition takes place every two years) brought together over 400 people yesterday afternoon, among those awarded in the hall in Piazza Borsa. Some even arrived from Melbourne, Australia, like Louis Crema, son of emigrants, today at the helm of one of the largest construction groups in the country: «My parents moved from Giavera del Montello in 1951. My brothers Luciano and I and I Romeo we continued our father’s work, our children and grandchildren have now joined the company. We have around 500 employees, many of Italian origins. It’s important for us to maintain our roots: we come back almost every year, we buy a lot of materials here and one of our companies is called Piave.”
«We celebrate men and women who have been able to combine different knowledge – underlined Mario Pozza, president of the Chamber of Commerce -: curiosity, the desire to undertake and always improve, the sense of belonging to the community and to a family. All values with which we must deal with the rapid changes we are all witnessing.”
