Most people are currently queuing for cataract surgery, 9,000 are waiting for a knee replacement, 7,600 for a hip replacement, and more than a thousand for laparoscopic gallstones, the paper reports.
According to the NEAK, due to the pandemic, it is a significant task to resolve the situation in all countries, including Hungary, due to the postponement of the planned surgeries. It was highlighted: in two years, in 2021 and 2022, it will receive more than HUF 22 billion to reduce waiting lists.
