Interim manager Manchester United Ralph Rangnick said there are several of his former players in the squad Liverpool. Rangnick claims credit for Liverpool’s success?
Liverpool have had great success since being coached by Jurgen Klopp in 2015. For more than six years, the Reds have again become serious challengers for the Premier League title and even managed to become champions in 2019/2020 and lift the Champions League trophy.
This season Liverpool are on the verge of another successful season. The Merseyside Reds have already won the League Cup and are still in three other competitions; FA Cup (final), Champions League (semi-finals) and Premier League (one point adrift of Manchester City at the top).
The secret of success Liverpool One of them is by recruiting the right players. Sadio Mane, Naby Keita, Ibrahima Konata, Takumi Minamino, Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip are Liverpool players who have worked with Rangnick in the past.
Rangnick will face his former players in the lead Manchester United visited Anfield on Wednesday (20/4/2022) in the morning WIB. Rangnick praised the Liverpool squad sky-high.
“They are good, they are very good,” said Ranknick about Liverpool quoted ECHO. “It’s no coincidence that they are as good as they are now. Jurgen has been building his team for the last six-and-a-half years.”
“Six or seven of their players were my players, we signed them for our clubs when no one knew them,” continued the former Hoffenheim, Schalke and RB Leipzig coach.
“And it’s no coincidence that Liverpool is probably the club with the highest number of players from our previous clubs because their approach, their style of football and the way they play are quite similar.” Ranknick add.
