Said dr. Tiffany, the findings of the highest DHF incidence rate (number of dengue cases per 100,000) occurred in 10 provinces including Bali, North Kalimantan, Bangka Belitung, East Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, DKI Jakarta, West Java, North Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara and DI Yogyakarta.
“The provinces that reported the most were Lampung, West Java, and DI Yogyakarta,” he continued.
In dealing with the spread of DHF, the Ministry of Health has made various efforts to prevent and control DHF, especially in endemic areas.
Considering that DHF tends to increase during the rainy season, the Ministry of Health encourages the community to actively carry out preventive promotive efforts through the 1 Rumah 1 Jumantik (G1R1J) Movement.
This movement involves the active role of the community, especially family members, to carry out 3M Plus Mosquito Nest Cleaning (PSN) in homes, public places and institutional places to achieve a larva free rate of 95%.
The G1R1J movement was carried out simultaneously in 154 districts/cities involving 6,122 Jumantik coordinators, 4,498 supervisors, and 1,047 Port Jumantik Cadres (KJP).
“Thank you for the participation of friends in the area who have supported the Jumantik 1 House 1 Movement (G1R1J),” he said.
ASEAN Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever Day is celebrated every 15 June. The decision was made at the 19th Summit (Summit) in Hanoi on October 30, 2010.
The ADD warning aims to strengthen the cooperation of ASEAN countries in preventing and controlling dengue fever. Considering that there are still some countries that are endemic to this annual disease.
This year’s ADD global theme is “ASEAN’s Resilience Against Dengue Amid Covid-19 Pandemic” or “ASEAN’s Resilience to DHF in the Midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic”. The pandemic that has occurred for the past two years has had an impact on efforts to overcome various diseases including dengue fever. For this reason, on this year’s ADD commemoration, ASEAN wants to invite member countries to remain resilient in dealing with dengue during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, ADD’s national theme is “Realize Dengue-Free Indonesia” with the sub-theme “Eradicate Dengue with PSN 3M-Plus” in which the focus of this theme is the eradication of mosquitoes directly to their vectors so that the larvae and mosquito nests are completely eradicated.
