The Bojonegoro District Health Office noted that from January to the end of November 2021 there were 211 cases. Of that number, three of them died from Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).
“There were 211 cases and three people died due to their acute condition due to being late to the doctor. Dengue fever cases are almost evenly distributed in all sub-districts in Bojonegoro Regency,” said the Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P), Bojonegoro Health Office, Dr. Wheny Dyah Prajanti, yesterday (22/12).
According to Whenny, in an effort to contain the epidemic, one must continue to bluff one by one, the simultaneous movement of one house one Jumantik with PSN (mosquito nest eradication) activities. His party also deployed jumantik cadres or mosquito larvae monitors in every village, to eradicate mosquito larvae nests.
“We hope that the jumantik cadres will spread to the community in every family, because the dengue mosquito is very dangerous for the safety of life, especially children,” he hoped.
Furthermore, Weny said, once a week, it is hoped that all people will be aware of their obligation to protect their environment from mosquito nests so that DHF mosquitoes do not breed in their surrounding environment.
“Every week, people are aware of their obligation to protect the environment from mosquito nests, especially in the rainy season,” he said.
One of them is Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) which is caused by the bite of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito that carries the dengue virus, humid conditions and large pools of water become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. [bas]
