There are 1,940 New Cases of Corona Virus in Thailand

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Thai Ministry of Health on Sunday, April 2, 2021, reported 1,940 new cases of infection corona virus in that country. Meanwhile, deaths due to Covid-19 have reached 21 people for two days or the highest in Thailand since the Covid-19 pandemic occurred there.

Thailand was previously known as a country that could control the Covid-19 pandemic by limiting people’s movement and closing very tight border areas. However, in early April 2021, the transmission of Covid-19 in the White Elephant Country began to skyrocket, including the identification of a new variant of Covid-19 known as B.1.1.7.

As of Sunday, May 2, 2021, the total accumulation of confirmed coronavirus cases in Thailand since the pandemic occurred in that country was 68,984 cases. Meanwhile, the total deaths due to Covid-19 were 245 people.

Thailand So far, 1.5 million people have given injections of the corona virus vaccine immunization. most of the vaccine recipients are health workers and the elderly. Thailand uses the Chinese-made Coronavirus vaccine, Sinovac and the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The country will carry out a mass immunization of the corona virus vaccine in June 2021, using the locally produced AstraZeneca vaccine. Thai people who want to get the corona virus vaccine immunization, can register this week. Thailand targets to immunize vaccines corona virus in 70 percent of the country’s adults.
