The cases of coronavirus in Mar del Plata had a strong rise this Sunday: the Municipality confirmed that 164 infected were detected, the highest figure since the beginning of the pandemic.
The high number of infected is known hours after the Municipality and the provincial government agreed to keep Mar del Plata in phase 4, which implies that it will not back down with the opening of activities. From the administration of Guillermo Montenegro, they promised to reinforce controls so that social distancing in the streets and the use of a chinstrap are complied with. And not only that: social gatherings will also be discouraged even more.
Until this Sunday, the highest number of cases had occurred yesterday with 103. The growth of the curve during the last weeks was overwhelming.
In addition, the Argentine Integrated Health Information System (SISA) detailed that 70 people recovered from the disease and were discharged.
In this way, since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,243 cases have been detected, of which 770 remain active, 1,461 have recovered and 71 died.
