Head of Division (Head of Disease Prevention and Management (P2P) Bojonegoro Health Office dr. Whenny Dyah Prajanti stated that the number of cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Bojonegoro Regency was recorded at 112 cases. The Department of Health urges the public to be alert for the rainy season to arrive.

“In 2022 as of January 17, two patients from a total of 112 cases of DHF died, namely from Kedungadem District and Trucuk District,” he explained, yesterday (20/1).

As for the efforts of the Health Office to prevent the occurrence of DHF, his party carried out the one house one jumantik movement and continued to provide education to the community, either through radio broadcasts, mobile broadcasts, and conducting counseling to villages.

“Because the Mosquito Nest eradication movement (PSN) is the only way to avoid being exposed to the virus, and it must be done by the whole community to avoid dengue fever,” he said.

His party appealed that the PSN movement be carried out by the entire community simultaneously and even then only once a week.

As for the 112 cases of DHF, there were several Puskesmas that had the highest cases, such as the Kalitidu Health Center and the Wisma Indah Health Center each with 15 cases.

“Then, the Ngasem Health Center had 13 cases and the Bojonegoro Health Center had 12 cases,” he explained.

He emphasized that all residents of Bojonegoro were asked to be aware of the potential for dengue attacks to spread by optimizing 3M, Destroying, Closing and Burying.

“Eradication of mosquito nests or PSN must still be carried out and become the attention of the community. If there are symptoms, immediately contact the nearest medical officer while still implementing the COVID-19 health protocol,” he said.

Wheny hopes that the cases of dengue fever will continue to subside and even disappear from Bojonegoro Regency in particular. [bas.gat]
