They are friends. They are 19 and 20 years old. They are from Ger. Théo Coutouillat and Cyril Grimaud will start the 4L Trophy this week.
Spread over two days, departures from Biarritz have been scheduled for February 14 and 15, for the 27th edition of the humanitarian raid which allows each crew involved in the adventure to cross Spain and the Atlas. Moroccan to deliver to Marrakech, on February 23, 10 kg of non-perishable foodstuffs and 50 kg of school materials.
Cyril Grimaud, 20 years old and Théo Coutouillat, 19 years old, both passionate about auto mechanics will be there, with their crew with the evocative name, “Les Grimllat’s”. An excellent opportunity to live an extraordinary experience, both mechanically and humanly. And a beautiful “revenge on life”, facing the illness that they had to face in their family environment, another point in common for these two friends.
In search of financial support, they came this Sunday, February 4, during the traditional local producers’ market, to present their 4L specially equipped to carry out a 6,000 km raid, including 1,500 km in the desert. They were also able to answer questions from children and those nostalgic for the famous Renault 4L.
To support this beautiful project, presented a few months earlier, at the town hall of Ger, the municipality granted a subsidy of €500. The entire team will carefully monitor the smooth running of such a journey. Other sponsors, craftsmen and traders from Ger also supported this very original adventure. Donations can still be made to an online account: HelloAsso “Les Grimllat’s”.
With all our best wishes to Cyril and Théo, engaged in a high-level sporting and human adventure.
