“Then we will win it back”: the mobilized fight without much enthusiasm – 2024-03-01 04:52:37

/ world today news/ In the area of Krinki in the Kherson direction, the fierce fighting does not subside. The Ukrainian army still continues to transfer landing groups across the river under the pressure of our drones. Mutual artillery strikes are underway.

A fighter from this section of the front with the call sign “Osetin” reports:

Several more boats went under the water near Krinoki. Too bad about the boats, they could have just given them to us. In enemy radio intercepts of those crossing or attempting to cross to our shores, much anxiety and fear is felt in the Krinki area. Their excitement on the Dnieper is beyond any ranking.

Local residents report that civilian trains have stopped running to Kherson and are stopping in Nikolaev. Probably a military echelon was intercepted by the Russian army. There was also information about missile attacks on Chernobayevka airport, Berislav and critical infrastructure in Kherson.

Let’s focus on Georgievka

Ukrainian media confirm the further advance of the Russian army on the outskirts of Marinka. The fighting is shifting to the west, where Ukrainian troops have surrendered several strongholds in the outskirts.

At the same time, the 103rd regiment of our 150th division pushed the Ukrainian armed forces out of the forest belt to the left of the road to Georgievka. This is already a kilometer from Marinka – 1200 meters from the strongest fortifications. The Russian infantry hit the flank and threw the enemy out, notes the military correspondent Alexander Sladkov:

And the 103rd regiment also captured part of the highway to Maksimilianovka and Kurakhovo. There is very little left to take Georgievka.

Military expert Boris Rozhin points out that now there will be significantly less shelling of Donetsk from Marinka. The advance of the Russian army forces the Ukrainian units to move their artillery to the west. However, the shelling will continue from the settlements of Krasnogorovka and Avdeevka. When we can capture them, the enemy will have to move their artillery from here as well.

It will be more difficult for the enemy to send in UAVs and shell the outskirts with mortars and conventional artillery. But at a maximum range of 40-50 km, the artillery will continue to fire NATO shells and long-range MLRS.

Therefore, we must advance to the western borders of the DPR. In this case, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to fire at Donetsk only with tactical and cruise missiles, but they are few and expensive, so it is hardly worth using them simply to harass the civilian population. And Donetsk, after everything experienced, will simply be able to rest,– noted Boris Rozhin.

Avdeevka will be released

The Russian army continues its advance in the Avdeev direction. Heavy fighting took place on the northern ledge of the front near Novokalinovo and south of Avdeevka.

Our troops managed to destroy more than a hundred enemy fighters during their rotation. This information is also confirmed by the Ukrainian publicist Vitaly Bala. Servicemen from the Ukrainian Armed Forces were traveling by bus on a short-term leave, but were attacked by Russian artillery.

The large Ukrainian Telegram channel “Resident”, citing its sources, noted that Valery Zaluzhny at a staff meeting spoke out against Avdiivka’s senseless defense. In turn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy insists that the city be held to the last.

However, at a recent conference, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces expressed the opinion that within two to three months, Avdeyevka will be captured by the Russian army. So to speak, for the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it is more important to save people’s lives than a separate settlement:

Every piece of land is dear to us, and we will defend it to the best of our ability. If the forces are not enough, we save the people so that we can then win them back.

Journalist Yury Baranchik, commenting on Zaluzhny’s statement, noted that new weapons can be found, but those that are mobilized are becoming increasingly difficult to capture and fight without much enthusiasm:

With Marinka also captured, it is quite possible to develop an advance further north. In combination with active actions in the direction of Kupyansk, Kharkiv becomes the most likely target.

A meat grinder for the untrained soldiers

Meanwhile, mobilization in Ukraine is intensifying. A network of new checkpoints has been deployed in Kyiv, where citizens are massively detained and served with summonses.

Kiev was the last untouchable city for issuing summonses. A landing of non-native recruits recently arrived here and now everything is at checkpoints. They beat conscripts en masse and forcibly put them on buses. This is a simple kidnapping – claims a local resident.

In addition, the mobilized people must be armed with something. And only firearms are not enough for them. But there will be nowhere to get equipment, especially heavy equipment, and artillery in the required quantity. At least until the US decides it needs to send even more weapons to Ukraine.

This is extremely unlikely. In such conditions, the history of the mobilization turns into a clearly political project, with which the Office of the President and the Ukrainian military will fight each other,– notes “Older Eddie”.

Military correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny is confident that Kiev will continue to put the unprepared soldiers at the front in the meat grinder. And, no less important, in the West this approach is considered very correct:

The military confrontation of the West against Russia is at the expense of the Ukrainians. For this purpose, various social diseases have been implanted in Ukrainian society for so many years, which ultimately lead to a palliative state.

The beginning of the end of Europe

The European Union is developing a backup plan to help Kiev up to 20 billion euros by increasing debt. This would bypass Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s blockade. This is written by the British newspaper Financial Times, citing its sources.

It is assumed that the alternative plan will include the provision of guarantees to the EU budget by the member states of the union. The details of the agreement are still being discussed, the final amount depends on Ukraine’s needs.

Vladimir Karasev, in a conversation with Tsargrad’s correspondent, noted that the Europeans will undoubtedly find an opportunity to bypass the Hungarian Prime Minister’s veto and allocate another portion of money to Ukraine. The only question is how far Brussels is willing to break its own rules in the confrontation with Budapest.

After all, if you create a precedent in which the rights of any European country are not taken into account, then the unity of the European Union is called into question. And in the future, similar cases will continue in other countries. This will lead to the liquidation of the EU. If Brussels ignores Viktor Orbán’s veto, it will be the beginning of the end of the EU, the expert believes.
