Thélios, a company of the LVMH group, announces that it has completed the procedures for the acquisition of the Longarone plant from Safilo Group, and for the entry of 247 workers into its workforce. The operation came to fruition thanks to the collaboration with the Crisis Unit of the Veneto Region, the unions and the workers.
Thélios will thus be able to further expand the department dedicated to metal processing for the production of sunglasses and eyeglasses, enhancing Italian craftsmanship and preserving the distinctive know-how of the Belluno district.
The acquisition of the Longaronese plant, adjacent to the Thélios Manufacturing, will then allow the creation of a campus in which the two production plants will be closely linked in operational and industrial synergies. Once fully operational, Thélios will provide employment to the 247 absorbed workers, who will be added to the current over 1000 employees in the area.
