The show of clothing brand Balmain during Fashion Week in Paris continues as usual. A spokesperson for the French fashion house confirms to American media that the theft of dozens of items is no reason to cancel the show.
On Sunday, Olivier Rousteing, artistic director of the brand, reported that fifty items of clothing from the French brand had been stolen. The clothes were on their way by truck to Balmain’s Paris branch. The driver was unharmed during the robbery.
Rousteing previously shared that he would do everything he could to keep the show going. “My team and I have worked hard. We will work even harder, day and night, just like our suppliers.”
The show will take place on September 27. The investigation into the theft is still ongoing.
