This morning, the professionals of the San Antonio Popular Pharmacy were sadly surprised when they realized the large theft of medicines that affected the establishment. “They stole a large amount of medicines that were just inventoried last week, many of these medicines are very low-cost for the community, and in addition to the damage, they took money and computer equipment, said Ivanna Ojeda Muñoz, technical director ( s) of the Pharmacy.
An initiative of the Citizen Mayor’s Office highly valued by the community, since it allows massive and debt-free access to different medicines, which are unattainable in the market.
Visibly affected, the pharmacy team pointed out that they not only regret the theft, but that it is the loss of a large consignment of medicines that come at a very low cost for the community.
From the Citizen Mayor’s Office they announced the presentation of legal actions, in addition to the commitment to open as soon as possible and continue expanding the offer of the Popular Pharmacy. Mayor Constanza Lizana pointed out that these types of actions affect all of San Antonio, especially the most modest families that access medicines at the Pharmacy. At the same time, she demanded from the government authorities, responsible for security issues, concrete actions to confront and, above all, prevent this type of criminal act.
