In the “Morning Panorama” program of Latvian Television, the chairman of the board of the Latvian Theater Employees’ Union, Ojārs Rubenis, said that November is traditionally the month of the theater.
The Board of the Union of Theater Workers nominated two applicants for the “Lifetime Contribution to Theater Work” award. They are Valmiera theater actor Agris Māsēns and National Theater actress Lolita Cauka.
“Players’ Night” is an annual theater award ceremony organized by the Latvian Theater Employees’ Union. The award ceremony is held on November 23, the birthday of theater director Eduards Smilģas, awarding the best in several categories in the previous theater season.
