He himself declared it to La Voz de Galicia in an interview published in 2009: “The theater is my life and when I die, the epitaph I put: ‘Fernando Gabelo, comical'”. Those who knew the Ourense actor closely reaffirm it: he always defined himself as a comedian from the provinces and now he leaves his, Ourense, more empty with his departure. Gabelo passed away this Wednesday, at age 70.
