They were welcomed by the management team, consisting of Ursula Hagenberg, Karin Mersch, Mechthild Schulte-Brochterbeck and Magdalene Greiwe.
Karin Mersch explained the diversity of kfd from a wide variety of perspectives: “In our multicultural society we encounter this every day and shows us that there is not just one right path, but many different options. But this also requires shared values such as respect, openness and tolerance. Diversity is also a gift that should not be taken for granted,” says Karin Mersch. President Paul Kodannur also addressed this diversity. “We are all colorful and diverse and should accept everyone as they are.” He thanked the women of the kfd for their commitment in the community.
On site, the diversity of the kfd is reflected in a colorful program mix of lectures, cooking and sports courses, game evenings, dancing, musical visits, devotions and church services, seniors’ afternoons and much more. You can already look forward to the mulled wine evening in the mill on November 22nd, the kfd service on December 8th followed by standing coffee, curling near Antrup on January 16th and a nutritional lecture on healthy intestines on February 4th.
Honors were also on the agenda. Maria Tertelmann, Ursula Wesselmann, Anneliese Schwakenberg, Hildegard Grüter, Theresia Helmig and Marlies Voß were honored for 60 years of membership in the kfd. Renate Walter has been a member of the kfd for 50 years. She was presented with a flower and a corresponding certificate.

After coffee, cake and sandwiches, it was finally time to raise the curtain for the theater group. Brigitte Kipp, Theresia Helmig, Elisabeth Dirksmeier, Sabine Wallmeier, Elisabeth Osterhaus, Elisabeth Masche, Gabriele Well and Martina Gröne came up with a lot of ideas and skillfully brought them to the stage.
