Friday: Loud, no, very loud music and lots of art
Music by Accept: Metal Heart is the name of the band from southern Germany and promises for the Cobra a concert as a “Tribute to Accept”. Accept, the world stars of the 80s metal scene, have their roots in Solingen. Metal Heart promises to play Accept’s hits. Guitarist Jens Säger says: “The intention is always the same at all gigs: to bring back the pure metal feeling of that time.” Greydon Fields rock in the opening act.

International Bergisch Art Prize: The 78th International Bergisch Art Exhibition will be opened with a celebration. The Bergisch Art Prize, worth 10,000 euros, will also be awarded. Enya Burger will receive it in 2024. 15 young artists will present contemporary art.

Saturday: Festival and guitar music
Music set: At the “17 Years of Waldmeister Festival” the focus is on music. You can look forward to the performance of the band ßoon. The reggae group is rarely seen live. Then there is Tons of Air, a group of various punk, indie and garage musicians from Solingen.
For decades, as here in 2014 at the Zöppkesmarkt, the formation ßoon has known how to inspire audiences with reggae.

The Club Waldmeister has long since become a place of DJ culture. And so various artists play on the spinning turntables until late into the night.

Theatre and concert hall: The postponed theater festival to start the 2024/2025 season will be rescheduled for Sunday. There will be all kinds of culture for Solingen residents of all ages on two stages. On the stage in the concert hall foyer there will be dance, musicals, children’s music and music from the city ensemble led by music director Ralf Mutz. In the theater foyer there will be dialect readings. The house will also present its upcoming program before.
The cultural management also promises: “For the children, there will again be a bouncy castle and children’s program as well as delicious culinary delicacies. In addition, the technology department has once again put in a lot of effort and will present guided tours and a technology show on the big stage.”
