In view of the state-of-the-art emergency situation and in response to the epidemiological situation in Latvia, LTDS plans to postpone the presentation of the Theater Day Awards from March 27 at the beginning of the summer, when the epidemiological situation will allow.
In 2021, the board of LTDS has decided to grant:
* Lilita Bērziņa Award – for bright performance during the last seasons and artistically high-quality work for many years – for the actress of Daile Theater Vita Vārpiņa.

Vita Vārpiņa has played more than 50 roles since 1997, and special among them are the classic heroines, in whose dramatic destinies the actress has been able to solve the complex issues of human existence, very subtly and sensitively affirming the impending nature that gives meaning not only to life but also to theater. as the only genre of living art in which they can be touched so directly.
