Theater, classical music, flamenco and dance in the varied autumn cultural program of Villanueva de Córdoba

The Municipality of Villanueva de Córdoba has designed a large autumn programming for the Teatro Comunale, which will host the staging of works ranging from dance to flamenco and from theater to classical music. The shows start tomorrow, Friday at 9pm withWomen of cinema” marked in the ‘Tierra de Mujeres’ program. ‘Mujeres de cine’, represented by the voices of Cheché Álvarez and Laura de Los Ángeles, pays homage to great artists of the big screen and music such as Marilyn Monroe, Sofía Loren or Lola Flores. And for Saturday 15 and Sunday 16, local works with performances by the members of the Municipal children’s theater workshop. Directed by Ángela Barrios Mejías, the little ones will play “The little princess who did not want to learn” and “The city of girls M and the intruder O”.

Flamenco has a special representation this year in the autumn program of the Municipal Theater. This is how the Torrotrón company is staged ‘What would happen if it happened?’, a clever mix of comedy, flamenco and love for the land that shocks the entire audience. David Palomar, on vocals; Riki Rivera, on guitar; El Junco, at the baile, and Roberto Jaén, at the percussion, make up this peculiar cast. In December, already on the occasion of Christmas, Manuel Lombo, with her show ‘Cantes de Diciembre’, and Joana Jiménez, with a flamenco zambomba, they are the final touch that marks the final part of the programming.

The Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Villanueva de Córdoba, Juan Manuel Rísquez, highlighted the diversified offer and the response it offers to a wide audience. Rísquez thanked the Junta de Andalucía for the impetus and the significance that participation in the Abecedaria program of the Agency of Cultural Institutions has for this proposal. The commissioner also expressed the participation of local artists and the musical band in the various sessions that the theater will host.
