The audience award “Actor of the Year” was given to Mikhail Chekhov’s Riga Russian Theater actor Maksims Busels for the role of Hamlet, “Actress of the Year” to the Daile Theater actress Ieva Segliņa for the role of Brands. Rubenis revealed during the ceremony that three times more viewers participated in this year’s vote than last year.
The children’s and youth jury’s sympathy award was presented to director Paula Pļavniece’s play “Three Piglets and a Wolf” at Mikhail Chekhov’s Riga Russian Theater.
This year, the theater innovation award “Latvijas Mobilais telefons” was presented to the contemporary art space “Kurtuve” for the rapid adaptation of the Valmiera Drama Theater.
Lifetime award
This year, the award “For lifetime contribution to theater art” was presented to the actress of the Latvian National Theater Lolita Cauka and the actor of the Valmiera Drama Theater Agris Māsēnas. The award was presented by Dailes Theater actress Olga Dreģe and National Theater actor Uldis Dumpis.
“I am grateful that I have been able to serve my whole life instead of serving the theater,” said Lolita Cauka upon receiving the award, who wished herself and everyone that every moment we spend is fulfilled.

Upon receiving the award, Agris Māsens said thank you and singled out his new Valmiera theater colleagues from Mihaila Gruzdov and Indra Roka’s course, which is bubbling much further than Valmiera.
