The ZTE Axon 30S was presented: a phone without a camera hole at an affordable price

The ZTE Axon 30 released last year received an updated version, called the Axon 30S. The design and basic features of the smartphone have not changed, in fact only the software running on the device has been updated, which in this case is Android 12, integrated with the manufacturer’s MyOS 12 interface.

The price has also changed, but in contrast to recent general practice, rather to its advantage. The 8/128 GB version of the device is priced at $ 238 (~ 101,000 HUF) in local currency in China, while the 12/256 GB configuration costs around $ 308 (~ 131,000 HUF). Last year there was only an 8 / 128GB Axon 30 for the latter amount, so the ZTE Axon 30S is definitely an improvement in this respect.

The mobile can be chosen in black or blue, the distribution in China has already started, the international sales have not yet been discussed, but we would not mind at all if the smartphone reached us.

Incidentally, because the ZTE Axon 30S has a 6.92-inch OLED screen, which displays content in Full HD + resolution and 10-bit color depth, while the image refresh rate is 120 Hz. smartphone still has an almost invisible selfie camera mounted under the display and can boast, in addition to the 16 megapixel module, also a fingerprint reader integrated into the panel.

The Snapdragon 870 chipset is responsible for driving the smartphone, and the manufacturer has entrusted the power to a 4200mAh battery. There will also be a 55-watt fast charger in the box, which can be used to quickly power the battery inside the device.

On the back of the ZTE Axon 30S is a 64-megapixel primary image capture unit, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle module and a 5-megapixel macro module. With such features and prices, we can only hope that ZTE’s mobile will be released internationally, although a global variant can be expected to be slightly more expensive.
