The zoo-refuge La Tanière, near Chartres, picked up fifty abused donkeys at Liège airport (Belgium)

Fifty donkeys, saved from abuse and trafficking by an Israeli shelter, boarded a plane on Saturday, June 25, at 9 p.m., in Tel Aviv (Israel).

They landed quietly four hours later at Liège airport (Belgium), where they drank, ate and spent the rest of the night.

This Sunday, June 27 in the morning, around 11 a.m., the fifty donkeys took to the road again, by truck, this time, to reach La Tanière, near Chartres.

The fifty males were installed this Sunday evening in a pasture at Champhol, and they will discover the grass for the first time in their history.

They are escorted by members of the Lair, as well as Sharon, the founder of the Israeli animal shelter, Fresh Start, and Lisa, a volunteer.
