There are the types of makeups that one would wear to buy bread, but they are beautiful, original and hypnotic enough to have own account on Instagram. It’s @TheWeirdStyle, with no less than nearly 6,000 followers.
In her, Cassandra Ángel, a 33-year-old from Zaragoza turns her eyes and lips into a canvas in which there are no limits to the imagination. It is a game in which colors and firm lines rule, inspired many times by Picasso’s cubism, Warhol’s color palette or, much more daily, in a television series or current trends.
His account is a ‘gallery’ of impossible make-up, with cubist ‘eyeliners’ or lips that look like a painting by Kandinsky. Not surprisingly, Cassandra, although she is not a makeup artist, did a high school of arts.
All the material that The Weird Style uses for its compositions, which are framed within what is known as ‘lip art’ y ‘eye look’, It is ‘normal’ makeup, that is, not designed for costumes: eye shadows, pencils, lipsticks or ‘eyeliners’, yes, of various textures and ways of applying.
He says he has few tricks to achieve such perfect makeup: “A good pulse and skill” is the most important thing. Although he confesses that, for example, he uses pieces of tape to mark areas and fill them with color and that among his essential tools are cotton sticks and makeup remover. The latter, actually, is in common use when it comes to achieving a good makeup. And it is that Cassandra defends that although her ‘looks’ are fanciful, they can be inspiring for a make-up for the street: “I, for example, sometimes I put a few dots under my eye, or I change the most common black of the’ eyeliner ‘for the yellow, or I use mascara in different shades like maroon or green. “
Cassandra herself is the model of her creations. She paints herself and over time she does it more and more precisely. She puts on makeup for the love of art – you can say that literally since it is inspired by it – but she dreams of her makeup getting the attention of some fashion magazine (“Hopefully ‘Vogue’,” they say).
At the momentThere are already several makeup brands that have contacted Zaragoza to publicize their products. ANDAmong them, some important ones: this is the case of the Spanish and emerging 3ina (read Mina), Maybelline or Urban Decay.
