The Zaragoza taxi sector requests aid from the Government of Aragon

Mariano Morón, president of the Provincial Association of Autotaxi of Zaragoza, has requested this Tuesday aid for the sector from the Government of Aragon, to cover 50% of the minimum quota of self-employed for a year to be in “danger of unfeasibility” by the fall in demand.

In a telematic intervention before the Commission for Citizen Appearances and Human Rights of the Courts, Morón explained that monthly income is an average of 900 euros, so they can barely cover expenses.

In that sense, it has indicated that in the first state of alarm the demand fell over 75% and that then they had state aid, such as the suppression of the payment of self-employed or the benefit for cessation of activity, but these aid are now not available .

All the groups have shown their support for the sector and collected their demands, including the moratorium on mortgages or the financing of 50% of the minimum quota for self-employed workers for a year to transfer them to the central government, although in the latter case, It would take a long time for them to receive these aid and that the claim is that each taxi driver receives a subsidy to compensate for the payment of the fee.
