The Zamora ICUs are once again free of Covid cases 47 days later

Critical units are once again released from Covid cases. At a time when the incidence is rebounding, the focus is inevitably directed towards the admission of patients with a positive PCR. A situation that, fortunately, seems to be beginning to stabilize in the province. The ICUs of the Zamora Assistance Complex manage to get rid of positive cases for the virus after 47 days of a minimum occupation but that it was still symptomatic of possible new deaths, so the news is a relative relief for the province and its future data.

Thus, since February 15, the ICUs in Zamora have only maintained a total of three patients, all of them due to complications unrelated to the virus. Thus the Provincial Hospital Complex joins the situation of five others in the region -Ávila, Salamanca, Segovia, Soria and Valladolid- while Palencia maintains the worst situation with its critical care units at a low risk level with 6.67% of beds occupied by Covid patients.

While the number of patients admitted to the isolate ward remains at 17, which implies a 26% decrease with respect to the Covid occupancy at the beginning of the week, although it is in numbers similar to those at the beginning of the month. In this way, the Covid pressure in the plant drops 1.7 points to 4.76% and now drops to a low risk level, although it continues to be the highest percentage in all of Castilla y León.

If we attend to the weekly incidence is experienced from Tuesday an increase of 13 points to 115 cases per 100,000 inhabitants among the population over 65 years of age, although it remains at a low risk level, being the only province with a seven-day AI at a risk level. And despite the fact that the 14-day incidence in Zamora remains at new normal values, the escalation of cases rises 43 points to 193 cases, only surpassed by Palencia whose incidence amounts to 198 cases.

The instantaneous basic reproductive number has remained stable since the beginning of the week at 1.27, like that of Castilla y León anchored at 0.98.
