Having a fortune of up to trillions at a young age may sound impossible for some people. However, this was actually felt by two women named Alexandra Andresen and Katharina Andresen.
Alexandra, who is 27 years old and Katharina, who is 28 years old, is known to have assets of IDR 24 trillion, Mother. Forbes also named them the youngest richest woman in the world.
Alexandra and Katharina are two sisters from Norway. They are also known to have a noble lineage. Both are from the Andresen family, previously known as one of the leading cigarette manufacturers in Scandinavia since 1849.
Nevertheless, the Andresen family sold their tobacco shares in 2005 for almost US$ 500 million or equivalent to Rp. 7.5 trillion.
Launching from the page CNBC Indonesia, the origins of Alexandra and Katharina’s wealth were obtained thanks to an inheritance of 42 percent from a family-owned investment company, namely Ferd. Previously, their father, namely Johan Andresen Jr., still ran the company and controlled 70 percent of the vote through a dual class share structure.
Currently, Ferd runs a hedge fund company (hedge fund) along with various private equity holdings and real estate assets.
Despite having a large heritage, Alexandra and Katharina still managed to work for someone else’s company, Bunda.
Alexandra had worked as a marketing coordinator for a sports equipment company in Norway, namely Brav. Meanwhile, her sister, Katharina had an internship at the firm Ernst & Young in 2019.
Even though they are rich, they have simple life principles. This is evident from the vehicle he owns is a used car. Katharia said that in 2016 her parents taught the sisters not to live too lavishly, especially when it came to their vehicles.
