Nikolai Vovk, a 37-year-old colonel from the Central Intelligence Agency, died in the Donetsk region. The soldier was blown up by a mine. He left a family – a wife and three children, at least a year and a half, reports “Observer”.
The 37-year-old GUR colonel Nikola Vovk was buried on the Walk of Fame in Khmelnytsky. Before that, they said goodbye to him in his native village of Stara Sinyava. Nikolai grew up here, his relatives live here.
“Nikolai himself and his family lived in Irpen near Kyiv. When the war broke out on February 24, Kolya was on duty. I called him, he said, “Yes, the war has begun. But don’t worry, everything will be fine, “his younger brother Andrei recalled.
Nikolai’s wife and three children – sons aged 11 and 6 and a young daughter of 1.5 – end up in Irpin when Russian troops enter. They spent several days in the occupation, but managed to leave with other residents in an evacuation convoy.
Nikolai’s last call was to his mother the day before his death. He said again that everything was fine with him, he was on a business trip so as not to worry.
