The young Niçoise Cairéann will participate in the connected challenge “the Race of heroes”

Cairéann, a bubbly 10-year-old girl has chosen to mobilize in favor of the SOS Préma association. Better, she convinced her classmates from Evo’s School (in Nice) to participate with her in the charity challenge and connected “the Race of heroes”. With the teacher, the toddlers will dance “in video” to raise funds on June 19.

Why this approach? It is linked to its history. Cairéann was indeed born early, at 32 weeks of pregnancy. His mother, Laurianne Sally, a trained childcare nurse, says: “When I was 5 months pregnant, my waters broke. So I was hospitalized and under close supervision until the delivery. I was very well taken care of, at the L’Archet hospital, but having to go home without my baby was difficult. It’s not what you expect when you become a mother. Fortunately, Cairéann was in good health, she was breathing on her own but she couldn’t feed herself, she needed the catheter. After 5 weeks, during which I spent all my days in a neonate by her side and where I returned home at night, we were able to return to our home. been very trying but today my daughter is doing very well, she is fulfilled.I had met Audrey at the hospital who is a volunteer with the association. reviews several times, I attended “parents’ coffee”, I gave him a hand from time to time. At the time, I could not get involved in SOS Préma because I wanted to devote myself entirely to Cairéann. And when she was 5 years old, had grown up and was more independent, I decided to give my time for others.

Since then, Laurianne has not hesitated to accompany the parents of premature children. She guides them, advises them and above all reassures them. With the pandemic and health restrictions, many of the usual events and appointments have been disrupted, but she hopes to be able to resume activities quickly. In the meantime, you can get closer to the association by contacting the local correspondents listed on the site www.sosprema.com.
