According to the latest data of the Ministry of Agriculture, the harvest per hectare of corn for grain is 263 kg, of sunflower it is 133 kg
The latest operational analysis of the Ministry of Agriculture notes tragic results in the field during the spring harvest. Compared to averages yields in the last 5 years this year’s crop of sunflower so far it shows that it is down by 41.40%, and from cornthat is minus 52 percent.
Increasingly hot summer months and decades of inadequate action on the provision of irrigation water for agriculture are responsible for this year’s critically low score. Thus, the expenses and personal efforts made by farmers to achieve good harvests and, accordingly, well-deserved income, transformed them into pure losses.
The average sunflower yield as of August 22 was 133 kg/ha, compared to 168 kg a year earlier. According to the published agrarian reports, the average yield from the oilseed crop in 2019 was 235 kg/ha, in 2020 209 kg, in 2021 it was 238 kg, in 2022 it was 231 kg/ha.
For grain corn, the current result is 263 kg/ha compared to 461 kg at the end of August 2023. The agricultural report shows that in 2019 the average yield was 711 kg/ha, in 2020 572 kg, in 2021 486 kg/ha, and in 2022 it reached 615 kg.
