Justin Bieber is well known for being a staunch supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Very excited for the new season of the National Hockey League, the singer believes that the year when his favorites will get their hands on the Stanley Cup has finally arrived.
On Saturday, Bieber shared on his Instagram page an image of the Leafs logo following their 3-2 win over the Ottawa Senators, adding the words: “This is the year.”
Like many Maple Leafs fans, the Ontarian has never seen the team in blue and white lift the cup in his lifetime. Bieber was born in 1994, 27 years after the 13e and last conquest of the Toronto club.
The “Maple Leaves” haven’t even reached the grand final since that last championship in 1967, but that hasn’t stopped Bieber from supporting his team forever.
Quite popular with players, the 26-year-old shared the ice with Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and Tyson Barrie (now with the Edmonton Oilers) during a team practice in 2019.
