Professionals from the entertainment world are getting a preview of the new show from the Yann Lheureux dance company, Kiss and Fly, produced with the support of Drac Occitanie, the Occitanie Region, the Departmental Council of Hérault and the city of Montpellier. The company stayed in residence for a whole week to refine its creation.

Since 2017, the former dancer has embarked on a new cycle of research and work on the question of memory: memory-identity, memory-body, memory-territory, in particular from research on Alzheimer’s disease.
After intergenerational meetings between college students and residents in EHPAD, it became obvious to Yann Lheureux that the subject of memory and forgetting, but also those of old age and family, should be offered to young people. generations in a poetic, sensitive and artistic way. Yann Lheureux entrusted the solo role to Annabelle Laik, dancer, performer of contemporary dance, hip-hop, newstyle and Bharata Natyam: “The writing of this forty-minute piece will reflect the richness of this subject through a mesh of dances, sounds, texts, and situations in relation to the playing space and to the spectators”, he said.
Annabelle is unpredictable. The dance in her shakes her at times, memories stir her, each encounter mobilizes her fully. “We felt a lot of emotion. We were constantly sucked in.”, some commented. “We felt a beautiful energy at the end of a beautiful interpretation”, emphasized the others.
