The New York Yankees defeated the Cleveland Guardians 4 × 1 on their Yankee Stadium grounds to take the lead in the Division Series.
Those led by Araron Boone relied on the formidable throw of their starter Gerrit Cole, along with the long-range attack from men like Harrison Bader and Anthony Rizzo.

Cole was huge on the mound as he gave up a solo run on Steven Kwan’s home run that put the Guardians ahead at the time. In 6.1 innings they connected only four hits and eliminated eight rivals.
As for the shot of the 27-time World Series champions, the home run of Worse was the quick response to the Kwuan connection.
And then came the advantage in closing the fifth inning from Josh Donaldson’s fly sacrifice (the only one who had two hits for the winners).
Italian-American Rizzo’s personal homer at the end of the next inning solidified the homeowners advantage, as they only had five wins against visiting pitches.
The relief of the New Yorkers was hermetic. Loáisiga, Peralta and Clay Holmes kept the Cuyahoga River at zero.
This THURSDAY ‘will compete for the second time these teams that already rivaled in that case only five years ago. On that occasion Cleveland won the first two games and then the Yankees won the remaining three to advance to the Championship Series.
