The 32nd Cáceres Classical Theater Festival It starts this Thursday, June 10, with the tickets sold out for three performances of the 16 shows that it will offer in its main section. “Between bobos walks the game”, with which the festival begins, the first of the two performances of “El lazarillo de Tormes”, by Rafael Álvarez El Brujo, and “Anhost”, the last of the scheduled shows, already have the full capacity sold.
Between June 10 and 27, the festival will offer 16 shows in its main section, Classic Scene, two other shows in Las parts clasicas, and two in Los Niños en el Clásico, the four short sessions of Golden Sketches and two workshops. The meeting has up to nine different stages, including outdoor spaces. The Gran Teatro de Cáceres (associated space) is one of these scenarios.
There will be more than 30 proposals between theater, music, dance and puppets for all audiences that will occupy eight different spaces in the city, mainly in the historic center, with seven premieres in total (four in the main section and three in parallel sections) and the participation of seven Extremadura companies.
The festival will focus the Classical Scene in the Plaza de las Veletas, except for a musical show in the church of San Mateo and another two in the Tatiana Pérez de Guzmán el Bueno Foundation.
Among the shows that make up the festival are the comedy “Entre bobos anda el game”, a co-production of the festival with Verbo Producciones; “Marta la piadosa”, from Teatro de Fondo; “Peribáñez and” El Commander of Ocaña “, by Noviembre Producciones,” El avaro “, by Morboria Teatro, or the musical” The Golden Age and the Sephardic Diaspora “, by Milo Ke Mandarini.
