The first Váci World Fair started in 1993, which has since grown into one of the most impressive summer events on the Danube Bend. After the forced silence of the past years, the three-day program series exploded again last year with great success.
Two opening events attract the public: the Friday afternoon musical and dancing frenzy in the main square, and the joint concert of the Vox Humana Choir and the Vác Civitas Symphony Orchestra. The musical performers of the three days include: TNT, Hooligans, Valmar, Söndörgő, Budapest Bár, Kiscsillag, PASO, DJ Dominique, Latte Maffiato, Áron Kovács & Dj Kényelmes.
Local bands add color to the offer.
Families and children are important actors of a festival. The entertainment offers them many things to do: there will be puppet shows, concerts, crafts, a playhouse, gladiators and a dog show. Thanks to the Mare Temporis Association, you can gain an insight into the dress and etiquette of the Baroque era.
Church venues create a special atmosphere for classical music concerts. The guests of the festival will be singer Attila László, the Szent Cecília choir, dr. Anastázia Bednarik is an organist, the Vox Humana Choir and Sándor Szászvárosi is a viola da gamba artist.
The exhibition spaces in the city line up colorful and varied exhibitions: the Sajdik Collection, the Ignác Tragor Museum, the Imre Madách Cultural Center and many private galleries await visitors with open doors. Among them, the Elefántos Ház on the main square stands out, where the ethnographic heritage of Vilmos Zsolnay’s daughters can be viewed under the title “Always Blooming Flowers”.
As part of the accompanying programs, those interested can walk along the artisans’ street, observe the tricks of the masters, enjoy delicious food and refreshing drinks from the caterers all the way to the gastronod.
The frenetic atmosphere is therefore guaranteed!
