The Minister of Education, Román Rodríguez returns “disappointed” from sectoral conference held this Wednesday at the ministry of Pilar Alegría. Education demanded that fund to offset the cost of acquiring safety equipment, cleaning or hiring teachers derived from the pandemic.
Another of the demands in which the community of Madrid and Galicia agreed was that of that progress in the vaccination campaign be taken into account when setting organizational criteria in educational centers. “It is essential in the current context that it is taken into account when applying sanitary criteria so that we go towards a transition course “ explained the Minister of Education with a view to applying a greater normality during the coming year in what has to do with outings and mobility in educational centers or with extracurricular activities.
In this sense, Román Rodríguez highlighted the progressive vaccination of adolescents in Galicia who are going to arrive at the start of the school year with the full schedule “which reduces the health risk enormously.”
Finally, the Xunta revealed that its protocol will maintain bubble groups with less than 25 students in primary school and a safety distance of 1.2 meters in secondary school.
