The Xunta de Galicia recommends those over 75 years of age, vulnerable people and those who have a respiratory disease – or cannot use a mask – of the region of A Coruña do not go out to the street or go to establishments at “hours of foreseeable influx or concentration of people on public roads” in order to avoid risks from the coronavirus.
This measure is recommended for the nine city councils of the region due to the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. Specifically, they are the municipalities of: A Coruña, Arteixo, Cambre, Culleredo, Oleiros, Abegondo, Bergondo, Carral and Sada.
This is stated in one of the resolutions published tonight in the Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG), signed by the Minister of Health, Jesús Vázquez Almuíña.
In addition, establishments and commercial premises “must provide a preferential service” to those over 75 years of age, which must be specified in “measures such as access control or specific payment boxes, and / or at specific times that ensure said preference. in care “.
According to the order of the Department of Health published in the DOG, this preferential attention service must be clearly marked in the establishments.
Limitations in Hospitals
In addition, the DOG collects the restrictions on visits to hospitalized patients, which the president of the Xunta, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, had advanced this Wednesday morning. Thus, in the health area of A Coruña there may only be one person per patient, “preferably under 70 years old and who does not suffer from chronic diseases.”
Regarding outpatient care, a companion will be allowed in the event that the person served is a dependent or minor.
