Pedro Sánchez’s government is 100 days in office, and the Xunta see it with great concern. After denouncing that the payrolls of the officials are in danger, now the Galician government warns that the approval of regional budgets on time is at risk.
Speaking to SER, the vice president of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda, warns of the treasury tensions already caused by the institutional blockade, and of the consequences that may have, the drastic consequences, if a government is not already formed.
Institutional blockade that is also a concern in city councils. The mayoress of A Coruña, the socialist Inés Rey, recognizes that there are issues that are slowed down, documentation that is difficult to access when they contact the ministries. Rey calls on the other parties to facilitate Sánchez’s inauguration.
At SER we have reviewed the main Galician cities to find out which projects are affected by the lack of government. In A Coruña are pending the connection with Punta Langosteira and in Pontevedra, there are three projects affected: the second phase of the A-57 ring road, the fire station knot and the extension of the pedestrian crossing to Marín. The infrastructure councilor, César Mosquera, hopes they will succeed.
In Lugo and in Santiagopending their respective intermodal stations, in the capital also with an eye on the approval of municipal budgets.
In Ourense pending the tender of the North variant, a highway bypass that would unlock space to reform the thermal areas, and in Vigo, he Madrid avenue project, the reform of the entrance to the city, 15 million euros, two thirds correspond to the central government.
