Galicia prepares the arrival of tourists. The Xunta will launch a specific telephone number for visitors with symptoms compatible with coronavirus. It is one of the measures to avoid possible regrowth.
That is the great fear of the administrations. An outbreak of coronavirus that stops the good epidemiological trend in Galicia. This specific telephone number for tourists that the Xunta will enable will allow the establishment of a first contact with people with symptoms.
If the situation requires it, they will be assigned a primary care physician and a PCR test will be performed. It is one of the measures promoted by the Xunta for the early detection of new cases, an advanced measure in the SER the Minister of Health, Jesús Vázquez Almuiña.
The Xunta also asks that Foreign Health informs you of all tourists who arrive in Barajas from countries with a high risk of contagion and who are going to go to Galicia, to monitor their health.
Almuiña has assured that there have been “some cases” of people from countries in South America and Africa, specifically from Guinea, which have tested positive for Covid-19 upon arrival in Galicia through Oporto and Madrid.
