The Xunta closes Vigo and Pontevedra and limits meetings to only cohabitants

The city of Vigo and Pontevedra, Poio and Marín (these three functioning as a single entity) will remain closed on the perimeter from today at 3:00 p.m. until next Tuesday.

Due to the growth in the incidence of positive cases of Covid-19 in the health areas of Vigo and Pontevedra, and to avoid contagion caused by trips to cemeteries and meetings on All Saints’ Day, the Xunta de Galicia increases restrictions until next Tuesday throughout the Community. In these two areas meetings will be limited to only cohabitants.

Thus the city of Vigo will remain closed perimeter, as will Pontevedra, Poio and Marín, which will function as a single entity. The “urban Galicia” is shielded in order to prevent the cases from spreading during this holiday weekend.

The restrictions, in principle, They will come into force at 3:00 p.m. today, October 30 and they will remain in force until next Tuesday, November 3.

The other large Galician cities will also remain closed perimeter, and meetings limited to only cohabitants:
