The Xunta opens two lines of aid to support the business fabric in circular economy projects and with direct loans, which have been open since this month and total almost 20 million euros. This was reported yesterday by the First Vice President and Minister of Economy, Industry and Innovation, Francisco Conde, during his participation in a networking day in collaboration with the Association of Entrepreneurs of Barco de Valdeorras. Likewise, he highlighted the good export data registered by the province of Ourense in 2022, with 1,333.2 million euros, 21.5% more than in 2021.
Conde explained yesterday that the first of these lines of support, to promote more efficient processes and consumption among SMEs and the self-employed, amounts to 1.5 million euros and is already open. It grants maximum aid of up to 200,000 euros for collective projects and 75,000 for individual initiatives.
The second line are direct loans that total 18 million and that, starting this month, the Xunta makes available to SMEs, the self-employed, technology centers, foundations and business organizations. Their objective is to finance strategic investments and also to help the industry against the increase in the cost of raw materials and energy.
Conde, who was accompanied by the territorial delegate of the Xunta in Ourense, Gabriel Alén, advocated collaboration between administrations and, in turn, with the productive fabric to open up new opportunities to attract investment. In this regard, he referred to the contribution made by the Entrepreneurial Councils, such as O Barco de Valdeorras and Carballeda de Valdeorras, when it comes to facilitating the implementation of new business projects that come to diversify and complement the Galician productive fabric.
The minister also made reference yesterday to the export data reached by the province of Ourense, from January to November of last year, with 1,333.2 million euros, being 21.5% more than in the same period of 2021. In In this sense, he recognized that the Valdeorras region is the capital of the stone sector in Galicia, where 90% of the production is concentrated, with 2,400 jobs linked to the entire Community.
