A “Mi Store”, a Xiaomi store, which arrives at Euralille, it’s a bit as if an Apple store, but more popular, was setting up in town. It is also the sign of the meteoric expansion of a Chinese brand which was still unknown in France five years ago. Today, Xiaomi (pronounced “chiaomi”) is number 3 of smartphone manufacturers in the world, behind Samsung and Apple, number 2 on the heels, which takes the insolent figures of the Chinese brand right in the face.
At Euralille, from May 19, customers will be able to test in one place, the latest brand products, from the watch connected to the smartphone, from the TV to the connected bulb. Another advantage is that they will be able to benefit from on-site after-sales service. On the first floor of the shopping center, the Lille store will develop an area of 152 m2. The store will employ six people. For Westfield-Euralille, the arrival of Xiaomi is a nice catch.
