Xiaomi is complying with users of the Mi A2 Lite, by providing another update to the smartphone that aims to keep everything up to date.
It is a new firmware package that does not add anything special, but it does add the typical software optimizations and some improvements that we highlight below. This, in turn, is not heavy and is currently being distributed via OTA to all units globally.
Xiaomi’s MI A2 Lite gets a new software update
According to the most recent reports on the launch of the new update to which the Mi A2 Lite is welcoming, it has a poor size of only about 16 MB approx. Therefore, downloading it should not take long.
The other thing is that this is dispersing via OTA, as we have already said, and gradually, so that its arrival in all units is guaranteed. So if you have this mobile and you have not yet received the respective notification that shows you that you already have it for download and installation, don’t worry, because in a few hours or days you should get it.
Apparently, the most important thing that comes with this OTA is the latest Android security patch, which corresponds to this month of January. Additionally, there are numerous minor bug fixes as well as various optimizations that aim to improve the user experience of the phone.
This is one of the latest updates that the Mi A2 Lite will receive, and it comes under the V11.0.17.0.QDLMIXM build. July of this year is the month that Xiaomi will be releasing the latest update for this device, thus fulfilling the promised 3-year support that it conferred on this cheap mid-range, which was launched in that month of 2018, about three years ago. It is also worth noting that the mobile will not get a version higher than Android 10, which is the one it currently has.
There are no reports that indicate that this firmware package makes the terminal unusable, as happened in March of last year with Android 10, which was launched in an unsuccessful way for the device at that time. In other news, the Xiaomi Mi A3 received Android 11 recently, but it was a complete disaster, as it damaged the phone to more than one user, without the possibility of reviving it.
The Mi A2 Lite, a device with the mythical Snapdragon 625
The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is a smartphone that was launched with the Snapdragon 625, one of the most widely used processor chipsets at that time and has already been discontinued. This SoC, which boasts a node size of 14 nm, is octa-core and works at a maximum refresh rate of 2 GHz and has the Adreno 506 GPU.
As for other features and specifications of the smartphone, it should be noted that it has an IPS LCD technology screen that consists of a diagonal of 5.84 inches and a FullHD + resolution of 2,280 x 1,080 pixels. The display format of this, therefore, is 19: 9. The other thing is that here we find an elongated notch -not so much-, one of the ones we saw more frequently before; This houses a 5 MP front camera sensor.
The rear camera system of the phone is dual and has a 12 MP main sensor with f / 2.2 aperture and a secondary 5 MP sensor with f / 2.2 aperture for the field blur effect, also known as Bokeh. Of course, there is an LED flash that is responsible for illuminating dark scenes, at the same time in which a fingerprint reader is placed diagonally to it.
Other diverse features of this include dual SIM support, microSD card slot, a microUSB port and 4,000 mAh battery with 10 W charge. The RAM is 3/4 GB and the internal storage space is 32/64. GB.
